The Foothill Gold Line from Glendora to Montclair (Project) is undergoing a supplemental environmental review and the public is invited to review the draft report and provide comment between now and May 6, 2019. 
The Project includes a 12.3-mile extension of the Metro Gold Line light rail system from Azusa to Montclair, and the Construction Authority proposes to modify the existing approved Project (2013 FEIR as addended). Project Modifications evaluated in the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) include construction and operation of the Project in four phases, rather than two phases; relocating the Pomona Station parking facility from the north side of the station to the south side; and implementing a new mitigation measure that would widen White Avenue near the La Verne Station (from 1st Street to 6th Street in La Verne). The purpose of Draft SEIR is to evaluate through analysis, documentation, and discussion the proposed Project Modifications and to solicit public feedback. The Draft SEIR has concluded that one new significant unmitigable traffic impact will occur as a result of the proposed changes to the project, at the intersection of Glendora Ave/Route 66. All other impacts have been mitigated to less than significant levels.

The Draft SEIR is available for a 45-day public review and comment period. The document is available at www.foothillgoldline.org and the Construction Authority’s office at 406 East Huntington Drive, Suite 202, Monrovia, CA 91016.  Additional copies are available at local city halls (public information counters) and libraries in the corridor cities of Azusa, Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont and Montclair.
